Toys for Tots 5K

The holiday season has sadly come to an end! While the holidays can be filled with happiness and festivities, for many families it can be a stressful, financial burden. Gift-giving is a big part of the holiday season but for many families, gift-giving is not an option. Toys for Tots has been working to provide toy donations across all 50 states in order to help the less fortunate since 1947 with the goal to bring those less fortunate a message of hope and positivity.

Our team at Gelb & Gelb, P.C. is passionate about helping children and families have a meaningful holiday season and we were honored to sponsor Bishop Events’ Toys for Tots 5K. Toys for Tots helps families every year by holding toy donations campaigns where community members can donate new unwrapped toys to be given to children who need it and families who cannot afford to buy gifts.

This year, donations for Toys for Tots were especially important. COVID-19 has caused many to lose jobs, be furloughed, or be out of work for long periods. Families in these difficult situations desperately needed a little extra holiday cheer this holiday season. As a father and parent, Attorney Roger Gelb understood how important family is and how much a small gesture can help. Bishop Events’ Toys for Tots 5K helped bring people together during the holidays, and a toy drop-off station was provided for those looking to donate gifts.

The Toys for Tots 5K took place at Pratt Park in Fredericksburg, VA, on December 13, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. There were in-person and virtual options for this event. Click here for more information on this event!

During this difficult year, it was more important than ever to give back and send a message of hope to the families and children in need. Thank you to those who joined us for this event. Every toy donation went a long way, and we all came together to make a difference.
