While this is not as much of a proactive solution, by avoiding distractions, you are not allowing yourself to make mistakes that put you in harm’s way. Things like texting, changing the music on your phone, or anything else that takes your attention away from remaining vigilant is a mistake. Additionally, if you are using AirPods, ensure you are on transparency mode, which allows outside noise to be hearable.
