I would just caution potential clients to be aware that when you see a public figure endorsing a law firm, that the celebrity probably hasn’t really done their due diligence. They probably don’t know the lawyer or the law firm that they are endorsing. It’s a money-making proposition for them.
Although, maybe effective for the lawyer in terms of making a profit as well, it’s not how you should find a lawyer. I think a potential client would be better served by looking for word-of-mouth referrals and just doing their own due diligence to find a lawyer.
I think you get what you pay for, and if you’re going to hire a law firm based on a public persona endorsing the firm, I think you need to be skeptical.
